Okay, NOW He is risen!
Our church had an egg hunt the weekend before.
"There's more joy in Jesus than egg hunts" we all kept joking.
Man, is it true.
But to these two, it was awesome.
Fordy was so excited to be in Abby's group now. They'll be together in church until the fall when Abby moves up to the elementary group. Elementary. As in, first grade. What?!
This love goes along with him saying randomly, "Abby, it's good that we're together." or "Abby, it's good we sleep together still." or "Abby, I love you."
He loves his sister.
So much.
Over our Easter break there were fevers, colds, congestions, sprinkler moments (that lasted 10 minutes due to the drought)...
Birthday breakfast for mom...
..and while lots of people went to Disneyland on their spring break, we went to ice cream.
And plans got cancelled because of more fevers....
and the kids rode motorcycles in our friend's yard with daddy...
(look at this pose she's got going. who taught her that?)
We did an amazing study on the days leading up to Easter.
Each day was a new craft or experience.
Washing each other's feet was the highlight. Filled with laughter.
Red dots and their name written on their hands.
"His body, broken for you..."
This year more than ever, the price He paid and what he purchased for us all was brighter and bigger than ever. Death be cursed. He is risen.
And, there was a tiny, itty bit of candy.
And Easter night we got to see cousin Katy and Uncle Kev and Aunt Christi. Papa gave a prize to whomever could answer the following puzzler...
"What is the easter bunny's favorite kind of music?"
That's right.
Hippity Hop.

1354. good questions as a result
1355. "But Jesus is the real reason, right, mama? But I still do love candy." Amen.
