Easter Part 1

Easter weekend started off with a bang. We finished up our Resurrection Eggs ("Mom? Who were the bad soldiers who arrested Jesus? Are they coming to our house?") and cousin Abram came to visit before we all headed out the the desert. Not before Abby got some new Dora glasses (that felt fine in the store, by the way, but are now officially, "TOO TIGHT!" Ugg. Really?) for the sun.

It's awesome to see them really become pals.

There was monster truck playing...

Swim prepping before actually getting in...

There was patty-caking with cousin Gabrielle...

There was floating in a plane...

There was egg dying before a nap...

There was toe dipping into the pool with cousins and swimming with daddy...
There was greasing of the skids with a chocolate egg the day before Easter...

There was egg hiding before the actual big event...
Kids were in their finest...

And our hostess, Grandmama was looking lovely the entire time...
We were so blessed to all be together. And guess what? The words "Easter" and "Bunny" were never spoken in the same sentence. I think until yesterday she had no idea that the Easter Bunny was responsible for her basket. Now, if I can only do the same with Christmas.

551. warm nights with shoes off
552. not a peep from the kids in the midnight hours
553. cousins becoming friends
554. a few perfectly made decaf lattes on vacation
