Math Problems

Recently I heard something on npr about Bedtime Math. After you read your child a story, why not add in a math problem? Sounded good to me... It gets emailed to me, which makes it even easier and so, we do it from time to time. The whole idea of math got Abby's wheels turning and now, whenever we're idle for more than a few minutes she'll say, "Mom! How about a math problem?!" We've kept it pretty easy so far but also tried to keep it interesting...

For some reason, whenever we're on the swing set, she wants me to light up her life with a little math. I love it. If I'd set my mind to it, she probably could've learned French by now, too.... but that's for another day, right? Which means I'd probably have to re-learn it myself.

In other news, our girl can suddenly ride a big wheel/tricycle. Her feet can reach! She was pretty proud of herself today and she got the hang of it.

And while she was rejoicing about that, Ford was screaming, "Baby! Baaaaby! Baabyyyyy!" His new favorite word. All babies laying around should be on guard -- he'll hug and kiss with abandon. Or try to put their shoes on his feet.
